not only did every single person at school tell me “you should pretend to date him so you can go to the grammys!”, but my OWN MOTHER, one of the most down-to-earth (albeit a bit spacey sometimes) people i know, said to me when i told her i had been asked: “well, were you a smart girl and say yes?”

um.

what i expected was something along the lines of “i’m so proud of you!  you didn’t take advantage of him and you stuck to your morals and acted with integrity.  good for you!”  i honestly cannot explain how dumbfounded i was by her reaction, i know i did the right thing by turning him down and i expected her to recognize that…

i don’t know.  people are really confusing and angering me today.

plus there were a whole lot of grade-a asshole drivers out this week and i’m fed up with them, i was almost hit twice yesterday by people going too fast around corners downtown and not merging correctly.  get off your phone, use your turn signals, and learn how the fuck to drive.
