for the record:
i never claimed moral superiority, today i felt overwhelmed by the fact that no one appeared to understand where i was coming from and why i turned down the offer. that troubles me, and i thought i made it very clear during school and in conversations with people what my reasoning was, not that i was morally better than anyone.
